Preview: This Week’s Game Releases

EDITOR’S NOTE: I got lazy and forgot to publish this…doing it now.

It’s time for another preview of this week’s releases.  Once again, these are the games I personally am looking forward to.  On another note, expect my Homefront review to be up…whenever I have the time.  Classes start up again this week which means it’s back to the old grind.  Be patient!

All games mentioned will be released Tuesday, March 22nd.

Crysis 2

Genre: FPS

Platform: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC

Developer: Crytek

Publisher: EA

Oh boy here comes Crysis 2.  The “benchmark” for judging graphics.  I’ll be honest–I didn’t think Crysis was all that special.  But apparently, from what I’ve heard, Crysis 2 is a huge step up  from the original.  I’ll pick this up eventually, and I know LIFE will be getting it right away and writing a review on it.

The Tomb Raider Trilogy

Genre: Action-adventure

Platform: Playstation 3

Developer: Crystal Dynamics (ported by Buzz Monkey Software)

Publisher: Eidos (Square Enix)

For those of you who love Tomb Raider, be sure to pick up the remastered HD versions of Tomb Raider: Legend, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, and Tomb Raider: Underworld.  And  the  great thing is you get all three for the price of one ($39.99)!  This is a great deal similar to that of The Sly Collection, so if you missed out on these games, now’s the time to grab  them.

Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy

Genre: Fighter

Platform: Playstation Portable

Developer: Square Enix

Publisher: Square Enix

If you’re like me and loved the first Dissidia, then this should be a no-brain pick up.  With more characters (Kain and Tifa!!!) and new mechanics, Dissidia 012 is sure to be just as enjoyable.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood (PC version)

Genre: Action-adventure

Developer: Ubisoft

Publisher: Ubisoft

PC gamers rejoice for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is finally here! Just like the previous two Assassin’s Creed games, the PC port took a little longer to get here than most liked.  But the  important thing is that it’s here. If you’ve been waiting to try this game, you’ll finally get your chance.
