Thundercats Reboot? Fuck Yeah!

On Sunday April 3rd, the trailer of the new Thundercats show that will be premiering on Cartoon Network this July was shown at Wondercon. I’m just getting around to posting this because of my busy schedule. If you’ve been following the site, you’ll notice that I’ve posted several things in the span of a few hours trying to catch up (and yes I cheated by adjusting the dates to when they were supposed to be published). And I’m now thinking of running a series of articles called “Fuck Yeah!” for exciting news. We’ll see (I have a lot of ideas, hard to implement them all :P). Anyways, a few things to note: the animation looks sick, Cheetara is fucking hot (who is voiced by the equally hot Emmanuelle Chriqui) and no longer looks like an old hag, Will Friedle (the person who voiced Terry McGinnis in Batman Beyond) is Lion-O, and Clancy Brown is voicing Grune the Destroyer. I’m a big fan of Clancy Brown which is why his casting excites me. For those of you not familiar with Clancy Brown, he’s the asshole head guard Byron Hadley in the Shawshank Redemption. But he’s also ton of voicework; he has voiced Montross in Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Hades in God of War III, Gorrath in Megas XLR, Lex Luthor in Superman: The Animated Series (also in Justice League and Justice League: Unlimited), and most notably, Mr. Krabs in Spongebob Squarepants. Yup he’s Mr. Krabs. Here’s the trailer if you haven’t had the chance to see it yet. Embedding has been disabled by request, sorry.

One Comment:

  1. I watched the first 10 episodes and loved every minute of Lion-O becoming a better leader, Tygra keeping L-O under control and being cool at the same time, Cheetara for existing and making me somehow go against my furry denial, Panthro's ruggedness and even the kids aren't all bad.

I think now is the time to catch up.
