Hey there y’all! This is Starshine5050 giving you all a quick update on one the most awaited games of the year, Silent Hill: Downpour. I have been dying to play this game since I found out over a year and a half ago of its existence. The eighth installment of the horror franchise is being worked on by a new production company called Vatra, which promised a return to the heart and soul of what made the first four games so great.
The original release date was October 25th, 2011. However, that date has come and gone, and no game to be seen. The dates have shifted around from November, then to mid-March next year, but as of two days ago, the game is set to be released in the first quarter of 2012, which will probably change again soon. Konami also announced two other Silent Hill games coming out – Silent Hill HD Collection (remastered version of Silent Hill 2 and 3 for the PS3 and Xbox 360) and Silent Hill: Book of Memories for the PlayStation Vita.
While some fans are discouraged by this, I take it in stride. If they are delaying it, obviously something is wrong with the gameplay or the graphics, or they need more time to better develop it. And with how the last three games have turned out, I say they can take all the time they need. Remember how Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess took forever to come out? It kept getting pushed back over and over, but when it was finally released, it was amazing! So, while I would like to run around that cruel little town we know and love soon, I will gladly wait it out so the game can be the best it can be.
That’s all for now! Til Friday, stay scared!

Have you seen the footage of the new Silent Hill 2 voice actors from the HD collection? They're awful.
I will never play Silent Hill 2 the new one when I still have a working copy and functioning PS2~
Right thing to do, definitely. Though I wouldn't play Silent Hill 2 HD even if there were no working PS2s left in all the world.
