Here we are on a Tuesday and what are we talking about? Call of Duty, yet again…I know I am kinda bored of it too but man oh man does it rule our lives sometimes. In this post I’ll attempt a dialogue with…myself.

Matt: So what are we talking about in terms of CoD today?

Matt: MULTIPLAYER.

Matt: What about multiplayer, Matt?

I’m surprised to see that very little is being released in July, which isn’t exactly known as a beach month persay. But it could also be that most families are going on vacation so I guess that adds to it as well. Either way, here are the four biggest releases that have been heavily advertised and are the big name releases. And don’t worry, August will have plenty more in store for you!

The Amazing Spiderman

Plot: …dude, it’s freaking Spiderman. What do you think its about – circus clowns? 

Pros: ITS FREAKING SPIDERMAN! More accurate to the comic Spiderman.

Cons: ….didn’t we have a Spiderman movie about a decade ago? You know, with Toby McGuire and Kirsten Dunst? I didn’t hallucinate that right? It was a real movie and all? 

Verdict: Oooh, shiny! Honestly, this film looks great, and the new actors look pretty invested. I know I want to go to the movies and see it! And if its even half as good as it looks, this could be the summer where all the superhero movies are actually good!

Like Microsoft, Sony had both games and gimmicks at their conference.  On one hand, while I liked the games shown at Sony’s conference a lot more, I think Sony’s failings were a good deal more disheartening.  It’s kind of a painful conference, really, and not because it was boring.

The future is awaits! It can be yours for only $300. It slices, it dices, it’s a legitimately good idea. Or perhaps it’s got dollar signs written all over! But alas, some things in life are just not meant to be.

No, we’re not talking about the Sega Activator or the Power Glove. Those things didn’t work at all. What I’ll be addressing today will be devices that actually worked to some degree or were well ahead of their time but for some reason or another just couldn’t get off the ground.
