When the Lord of the Rings were released in theaters, they were a phenomenon unmatched – even by the Harry Potter movies. Everyone loved the exciting, action packed adventures of four little hobbits, a wizard, two princes, a dwarf, and an elf. No longer were the book held up as a shining example of obsessive geekdom and social awkward incarnate – everyone was reading them like they would soon be out of style.

But they haven’t gone out of style. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey  is one of the most anticipated movies of the winter season, with a sequel on its way. But Peter Jackson just announced that we’ll be getting three feature length movies, not two, or even one like was expected. So, this is move a way to make an adaptation of The Hobbit that’s never been seen, or just a way to make money on an already highly successful franchise?

Previously on Final Fantasy 5 Four Job Fiesta 2012 Fridays, I beat up a bunch of bosses, transported to another world, got abducted (bullshit!), broke out of a castle, beat up some dudes on a big bridge, and got stranded on some unknown continent.  Last week was probably the most exciting episode yet, what with meeting Gilgamesh, who is a true badass, and one of the most memorable things about this game, and other stuff.  Anyway, this week’s episode (for the record, I’m retroactively relabeling these posts to be “episodes”) will be a tad shorter than usual, since I’ve been rather busy, and haven’t found time to sneak in enough play.  I’ll try to make it up to ya sometime.  Anyway, enough of a preface, let’s throw some more money at the game and hope I kill some things! Hello everyone and welcome to a rather quick bite of “Food for Thought” for you all to chew on! Just last night I was introduced to a rather addictive game that answers the “big questions” about mortality and human nature. Sounds heavy, deeply philosophical, and a snooze fest? Well, you’d be surprised, especially if you’re  a fan of (intense) personality quizzes and a sucker for side-scrolling jump puzzles.

Just step outside, get hit by a meteor, and plunge into the self-discovery-pseduo-purgatory known as The End.
