Book Review This Book is Full of Spiders

It’s rare to read a book that’s simultaneously horrifying and hilarious. This Book is Full of Spiders is such a book. Written by Jason Pargin under the pseudonym of David Wong, this story is the sequel to the acclaimed novel John Dies at the End (check out Starshine’s review of the movie). This story is unlike any other, and that’s perhaps why it’s one of the best books I’ve read over the past year.

Oh, the Xbox 360. At one point in my life, you were an instrumental factor in my happiness. With more than a couple killer apps and a predecessor with my favorite game of all time, how could I help but love you? And then you burdened by the kinect actually finding success. Suddenly, you didn’t need me anymore. You had families to care about. And Sony easily lured me into an alley thanks to my newfound cuckoldry.

Back in the day, if you had an Xbox, it was all about the Mass Effects, the Halos, and the Fables. Well, in the case of that last one, only one Fable really mattered. The second one. Fable 1? Fable 3??? Hah. Don’t even ask. The middle game was something special… according to people I knew.

Scribblenauts Unmasked, which was revealed back in May, will be released on September 24th on the 3DS, Wii U, and PC. The lovable puzzle adventure game by 5th Cell and Warner Bros. released an image of some of the various Supermen available in the game.

Silverwolf is sure to be pleased. He sure loves the Man of Steel. The Red Son rendition is pretty cool (review here) as well as the Speeding Bullets one (never heard of that one until now). Be sure to also check out our review of Man of Steel as well as our “Objection!” of the film.
