Sly Cooper Movie Coming Early 2016

In case you haven’t heard by now, Sly Cooper is getting a movie. The CG animated film is set to arrive in theaters in early 2016 and will be directed by TMNT’s (2007) Kevin Munroe, who also wrote the screenplay. Rainmaker Entertainment and Blockade Entertainment are the two studios working on the film. They’re also the ones responsible for the upcoming Ratchet & Clank film, which will be released in 2015. Here’s the synopsis for the film:

Sly learns of his birth family’s secret legacy; that he comes from a long line of talented and international thieves. Endowed with this knowledge, Sly and his friends are catapulted into a global adventure as they race to reassemble pieces of an ancient book holding The Cooper Clan’s family secrets before it can fall into the hands of Clockwerk – an evil Russian metallic owl bent on ending the Cooper family line. From romantic Parisian backdrops to the lush mountains of China, gritty film noir meets bright, colorful graphic novels in this origin story of the world’s greatest thief-turned-hero.

  1. Ratchet and Sly are getting their own films.I’m psyched for both. Wonder if Jak will get a piece of the action as well? I like Sly and Ratchet more so I wouldn’t be too upset if Jak’s left out.
