The 2015 Winter anime season is flying by, and of course, there’s plenty of harem shows to go around. Usually, one episode of a harem show will feature one or more of the girls trying on clothes. This happens in Absolute Duo episode 4 and Shinmai Maou no Testament episode 6. In this post, I will rate each of the outfits the characters try on (based on my personal tastes of course). As a disclaimer, I’m no expert on female fashion. I generally know what “looks good”, but just be aware that this is meant to be a fun post. Don’t take it too seriously. Male fashion is another story (I like to dress nice), but nonetheless, let’s start the fashion show!
In Absolute Duo episode 4, Julie Sigtuna is the subject of the clothes fitting. Let’s see her first outfit.
A very “Springy” dress. Light and airy. Sun hat included! Good for summer too. White is a good color on Julie (matches her hair). 9/10.
Another dress. However, black does not give off the same light feeling as white. This dress comes with stockings, and looks like something you would wear on an important date. Still a cute outfit though. 8/10.
Now this is something I really like. Cute, hip, and stylish. Something I would definitely enjoy seeing my significant other wear. A nice purple hooded sweater, with a frilly skirt and matching striped stockings. The tie is a nice accessory along with the ribbon. 10/10.
This looks like a lolita dress. I’m not a huge fan of lolita style, but it doesn’t look bad on Julie. 7/10.
Now let’s take a look at Yuki Nonoka in Shinmai Maou no Testament episode 6.
Her first outfit is definitely my favorite. I generally gravitate towards more hip and modern outfits. A nice pink tank top showing off her midriff accentuates her nice figure. Throw on a cool maroon jacket with a nice skirt and large belt and bam, you have a nice outfit to wear out. 10/10.
Unfortunately, the front of this outfit is not shown, so it’s hard to make a definitive judgment. However, from what we can see, it’s a very nice outfit. Definitely a great way to make a good impression. 7/10.
This is a very “earthy” dress if that makes sense. In fact, I first thought of the earth fairy Kobori’s outfit from Amagi Brilliant Park. But it’s definitely cute. 8/10.
