I’ve been really into Accel World this season. It’s one of the moar popular series in Japan, so it should be no surprise that their is a lot of merchandise for the main heroine, Kuroyukihime. Above is a nendoroid of the lovely “Black Snow Princess” and below is a figma of her Brain Burst avatar, Black Lotus.
Oh Charlotte Dunois, how I love you so! It’s a great time to be a Charlotte and figure fan. Why, you may ask? Well I was roaming AmiAmi this morning (as I do every morning), and something instantly caught my eye: a Charlotte Dunois bunny style figure (she’s nearly sold out in every store, and it hasn’t even been a whole day since she was made available!). I immediately jumped for joy as the figure is based on one of my favorite illustrations of Tomoyasu Kurashima, the character designer of Infinite Stratos. The said illustration is the one above. Here’s a picture of the figure itself, part of the 4-Leaves series by Kotobukiya:
Happy Star Wars Day! Last year, I used this day to pay tribute to the baddest bounty hunter in the galaxy, Boba Fett.
This year, I’m paying tribute to the hottest Twi’lek Jedi in the galaxy, Aayla Secura. Continue reading »
I’m being lazy with today’s “Mecha Monday.” I bring you the latest Revoltech from Anubis: Zone of the Enders, the Jehuty and Vector Cannon. This thing is badass. Look for the Zone of the Enders HD Collection December 12th of this year (y so long Hideo Kojima?!?!?!).
LEGO Batman 2 has been revealed! And new toy sets as well! The sequel will be titled LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes and will feature–you guessed it–DC superheroes. Some heroes include Superman and Wonder Woman. One can hope moar heroes will be revealed later. By the way, this is part 4 of my “Batman Extravaganza.” Part 4 was originally going to be something else (not to mention this extravaganza was supposed to have ended last month), but this was too cool to pass up. The epic conclusion to my mini Batman obsession will (hopefully) end this weekend.
Recently, I found some Gundam Wing Kai variations that I think are absolutely awesome. I hope one day Bandai releases model kits or Robot Damashii figures of these suits. Take a look below!
The Sandrock Armadillo has some nifty looking shields, the Heavyarms Igel has additional missile pods and leg mounted treads for mobility, and the Shenlong Liaoya has a a giant sword. The Deathscythe variation will be revealed in the November issue of Hobby Magazine.
Speaking of variations, Gundam 00V has some sick variations of the standard Celestial Being Gundams. What is Gundam 00V? 00V is a picture novel of customized mobile suits. Bandai’s Robot Damashii line has produced some of the customized Celestial Being Gundams: the Arios Gundam Ascalon, the Cherudim Gundam SAGA, and the Seravee Gundam GNHW/3G. I have both the Ascalon and SAGA and have pre-ordered the GNHW/3G (which is a Tamashii Web Shop exclusive). Don’t you agree that these variations are so much cooler than their regular counterparts?
Ok guys I have a thing for collecting figures. I also have a thing for dark skinned elves. So what’s my natural reaction when a dark skinned elf figure is released? Must buy! To the left is Arshes Nei (made by Orchid Seed) from the (still) on-going manga Bastard!! and to the right is Sandaime Muramasa (made by Max Factory) from the visual novel Full Metal Daemon Muramasa by Nitroplus. I currently own Arshes Nei, and I have Sandime Muramasa on pre-order (she will be releasesd in March 2012). Continue reading »
Finally. I’ve been waiting forever for this, the English release of Fate/Extra. First announced this summer at Anime Expo by Siliconera’s liveblog from the Aksys panel, Fate/Extra will makes it’s English debut on November 1st. Sure it comes a whole year after the Japanese release (July 22, 2010), but we’re still getting it. Pre-orders are up on Amazon and EBGames for the regular and limited editions. The limited edition comes with a cool Saber Nero package, artbook, and soundtrack. Also, if you order through EBGames, you’ll receive a special 20 page magazine called Fate/the Fact. Although I loathe doing so, I will order through EBGames just so I can get that magazine. I am a collector, through and through.
